Cloud Architecture & Modernization
Design secure, scalable architectures that meet availability and performance goals.
What we do
A design is only finished when the team can operate it, so we cover the decisions, the trade-offs and the reasoning behind them — not just the diagram.
Architecture Design
High-availability, multi-region designs and capacity planning matched to your real workload profile.
Security and Identity
Network boundaries, IAM design and encryption strategies built in from the start rather than added later.
Modernization Patterns
Containerization, serverless patterns and microservices design where they genuinely simplify the problem.
Networking and Connectivity
VPC design, routing, DNS and hybrid connectivity to the networks you already run.
Resilience and Recovery
Multi-AZ and multi-region design with defined recovery objectives and tested failover.
Performance and Scaling
Load-based capacity planning and autoscaling so performance holds through peak demand.
Common challenges
Most architecture problems are not exotic. They come from designing for a workload nobody measured.
- Architectures that scale in diagrams but not under real traffic
- Security boundaries added after launch, creating gaps nobody owns
- No agreed recovery objectives, so failover stays untested until it is needed
- Over-engineered platforms that are expensive to run and hard to operate
Our approach
We start from your workload characteristics and business requirements — availability targets, latency expectations, data residency and budget — and design to those rather than to a reference architecture.
We validate the design with load testing and document the decisions, so your team can operate and evolve it with confidence instead of relying on the original authors.
Technology
AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, with Kubernetes, Docker and managed serverless platforms where they suit the workload.
FAQ
Do we need a multi-region architecture?
Only if your requirements demand it. Multi-region adds real cost and operational complexity, so we recommend it when an agreed availability or data-residency requirement justifies it — not by default.
Should we use multiple cloud providers?
Usually not without a specific reason. Running two clouds roughly doubles the operational surface. We design for the platforms you actually use and will explain honestly where a second provider would and would not help.
Can you review an architecture we already have?
Yes. That is often the most cost-effective engagement — we assess the current design against your requirements and report the gaps in priority order.
Do you hand over documentation?
Yes. Architecture decisions, diagrams and the operational reasoning behind them are deliverables, not an optional extra.
